Barbuda: there are at least three or four new hotel projects heading to this island and eight cruise ship calls will be made in Barbuda this year – the most it has ever received. This Caribbean island that has not conquered the tourism infrastructure and is still an “island experience”. Watch for some smaller planes, possibly a smaller, local airport to be built. Wouldn’t one small airport in Barbuda go well with one small airport in Antigua and add shuttles between them? Make a wish! Water Island: is the fourth official and most recently acquired island in the USVI. Sure you’ve heard of St. Thomas, St. Croix and St. John but rumour has it that in under two years the U.S. Virgin Islands hopes to fully open up Water Island for tourism. Watch for more news on this little treasure in upcoming years! All developers please apply, three proposals have already been submitted! You could be the one groundbreaking a new 150 – 200 room hotel in a few years. The first Water Island Hotel, named appropriately opened in 1953, later became the Sea Cliff Resort then was destroyed in 1989 by Hurricane Hugo. Saba, enter their first-ever spa at the Queen’s Gardens Resort! An intimate 12-suite resort on island of Saba (Dutch Caribbean) has recently announced the opening of the new Frangipani Spa. The first and only spa on Saba will treat you to it’s own line of body products called Frangipani. Frangipani is produced on St. Maarten by SXM Nectar exclusively for your spa experience using organic, indigenous ingredients. A new two-story area offers two open air treatment rooms, a Finnish sauna, a Turkish steam bath, herbal facial aroma pots, a waterfall shower, and a sunning deck with Jacuzzi, all perched 1,200 feet above sea level overlooking the sea and mountain setting. Tobago:  this was already one of our secrets, we discovered Tobago personally many years ago. We’ve got an estate for you that goes on the market bragging about their neighbor, one of the world’s oldest protected national parks. This 300-acre estate has more than three miles of coastline, sandy beaches and crystal blue sheltered waters! Ancient shipwrecks and divers along with lovers and beach weddings should watch for luxury resort on little-known L’Anse Fourmi Estate! Permission granted is the word on L’Anse Fourmi Estate on the north east coastline. Unspoiled, outstanding natural beauty, beneath the high ridge of a protected tropical rainforest, extensive areas of land formerly used for cocoa planting (abandoned 30 yrs ago), a tree lined beach and luxury coming!  We’re expecting around 360 guests to be pampered with restaurants, cafe bars, spa, a fitness center, tennis courts, pool and a conference center. Yes, there just has to be a small marina with a diving center and fishing available!boats Guadeloupe: The Creole Hotel Beach & Spa has been laying low for years but hello U.S. travelers, tourists, and special events.  Get ahead of the rush to this French-Caribbean paradise, an archipelago of five islands, two (Basse-Terre & Grande-Terre) connected by roads and three more islands (Marie-Galante, Les Saintes and La Désirade) connected by inter-island ferry. A premier island-hopping destination couldn’t look better. Blending modern French with Caribbean tropical setting, consider this butterfly-shaped island for safety, pristine beaches and lush tropics. A variety of niche markets with activities and excursions will bring U.S. travelrs for culinary, family travel, honeymoons and romance travel, ecotourism, diving, sailing, adventurers, Francophiles and wellness with natural hot springs, sulfur baths and mud baths. Then twist with a little heritage and French Creole styled architecture. Now, step into La Toubana Hotel & Spa, a secluded garden on a hillside overlooking the ocean for romance seekers. Seducing and contemporary bungalows and suites along the slope, invite couples to savor nature and wonderful views. We’ve been told there are two Oceanview Master Suites! Especially enticing for couples with personal pools and privacy. An intimate Ocean Spa has one couple’s treatment room for romantic pampering. Having just added 12 new ocean facing luxury suites, two have private pools, watch for the debut of two ultra-luxe four bedroom villas. A complete vacation, welcomes families and children (0-2 free stay and meals/3-11 free share with parents room, 50% off meals, max 2 kids) Say yes to interconnecting rooms.
